Kurt Carr

Although not raised in a church-going family, gospel leader Kurt Carr began attending services at age 13 and became active in his church's musical programs. Inspired by Walter Hawkins, James Cleveland, and Andrae Crouch, he attended the University of Connecticut, graduating with a fine arts degree and a newfound appreciation of classical music.
