Avant jazz and improvisational group Food emerged in 1998 as a collaborative project between British saxophonist Iain Ballamy and Norwegian drummer Thomas Strønen, who founded the ensemble following a chance meeting that sparked their shared passion for exploratory acoustic and electronic music.
