Contemporary gospel singer Tamela Mann is known for her powerful soprano voice. Born June 9, 1966, in Fort Worth, Texas, the youngest of 14, she began singing in church as a child. Her professional career started in the 1990s with Kirk Franklin's organization. She later acted in Tyler Perry projects, notably as Cora on Meet the Browns. Her solo albums include Gotta Keep Movin' (2005), The Master Plan (2009), and Best Days (2012), which hit number 14 on the Billboard 200. Overcomer (2021) feature
