flipturn makes indie music for endless summers, sun-streaked days, and introspective nights. It&#39;s a cinematic sound rooted not only in the Florida towns where they first banded together as teenagers, but also in the anthemic live show that&#39;s taken flipturn from coast to coast. In the time since their formation, flipturn has mushroomed to reaches far beyond the walls of the Fernandina Beach garage they first practiced in. Built up by Dillon Basse (lead vocals/rhythm guitar), Tristan Duncan (lead guitar), Madeline Jarman (bass), Mitch Fountain (synth), and Devon VonBalson (drums), the band long prepared for the release of their debut album Shadowglow; a snapshot of a band caught halfway between youthful optimism and adult precision, with songs that target the head as well as the heart. 

With over 200 million streams on Spotify, countless sold-out headline shows across the US, and tours with Two Door Cinema Club, Mt. Joy, Rainbow Kitten Surprise and The Revivalists, the band has more than proven their place in the alternative scene. 2022-2023 saw flipturn join the prestigious lineups of Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza, Governors Ball, Shaky Knees, and Hangout. They signed with Dualtone
Records to further amplify the release of their debut album, joining their legendary roster of the likes of The Lumineers and Chuck Berry. In Spring 2024, the band completed a 40&#43; date North American headline tour of 1000-4000 cap venues, selling out nearly every show.

2 years late, but this is one of my favorite songs, I literally danced around my room, shaking my hair and waving my arms to this song. Just reminds me so much of summer and hanging out with my friends. Definitely should be in a movie soundtrack!

Genuinely one of the best songs I’ve ever heard, it’s been on repeat for the last week and I can’t stop listening to it. Everything about it is immaculate.

Having that one of a lifetime moment where this song speaks more than volumes to me. As always, you guys knocked it out of the park, and found a way to land in my dented heart.

His voice is amazingly unique... it’s piercing yet soft... and makes me think of an old 1920’s phonograph recording (in the best way possible)

Just turned 18 a few minutes ago. I knew when I first heard this song, I was going to play this at midnight. I remember being 15 and first hearing this and it helped me get through a lot of rough times. Now I play I as a reminder that the world didn’t end when I was 15. I sat in bliss as the clock hit midnight and couldn’t help but to be proud of myself. Maybe I will go back to this song in 10 years and I will see this comment again. But now, cheers to all the good that will arise again.

The vibrato in his voice is insane. I get shivers hearing him. And the whole band is incredible. I came here from their audiotree sessions and Flipside never misses. I love their energy and their vibes.

This song means so much to me. When me and my girlfriend had just started texting (before we started dating) I asked her what kind of music she liked and she sent me this song. As soon as I heard this song I fell in love with it. Then we shared so much more music with each other over time as we grew closer and started dating. We were also listening to this song when we kissed for the first time. This song always makes me think of her. I’m so glad I have it. This song is so underrated. More people need to hear it.

The way this makes me feel is overwhelming

Can’t tell you the number of times I’ve sung/screamed to this song in the car. Never once until this point have I looked into the artists themselves. Absolutely astounding. Going to have to see you guys in Dallas! This song has brought comfort to my most melancholy of afternoons.

I discovered Flipturn at a time where I was at a low point in my life. Going through heartbreak, feeling unsatisfied with where I was working, and overall just unhappy. The whole Citrona album was on repeat on my ears for months. Eventually my heart healed, my job changed, and I found happiness again. Flipturn though, stayed with me, and I’m really grateful for them and the music they make.

this is genuinely my favorite band they are such real musicians so so so talented

Obsessed, FLIPTURN never makes a bad song.
