Since winning the 10th season of “American Idol” in 2011 at age 17, Scotty McCreery has been a household name for nearly half his life. He then made history in 2011 as both the first country artist and the youngest male artist of any genre to debut his first studio album at No. 1 on the all-genre Billboard Top 200 Albums chart.

 With his latest album Rise &amp; Fall, featuring his sixth No. 1 single “Cab in a Solo” and 12 additional tracks, 11 of which Scotty wrote, McCreery explores classic themes of heartbreak, rowdy nights, nostalgia, faith, newfound joy, fatherhood, and enduring love. 

The 30-year-old has sold more than 4 million albums and achieved 6 No.1 hits : the recent “Cab in a Solo,” the RIAA Platinum-certified “Damn Strait,” the RIAA Gold certified “You Time,” the RIAA Gold certified “In Between,” the RIAA Platinum certified “This is It,” and the RIAA Triple Platinum certified ‘Five More Minutes.” 

Last fall McCreery was inducted into the North Carolina Music Hall of Fame and invited to become a member of the Grand Ole Opry by Garth Brooks. McCreery was officially welcomed into the Opry family on April 20 by his heroes, Josh Turner and Randy Travis. The singer/songwriter married his high school sweetheart Gabi in 2018, and the couple had their first son Avery in October 2022.

This song keeps playing in my head since the events that have occurred lately, we lost 13 servicemembers, I lost 11 brothers and sisters. We all want you guys back.

I just want to say thank you for sharing Andy&#39;s and Crissie&#39;s story in this amazing song. I grew up and went to school with Andy and I will never forget meeting Crissie for the first time at Andy&#39;s funeral. I am a military wife as well and I am not sure if I would have been able to handle myself with such grace as Crissie did during that time. She is an amazing mother to Landon and Andy was lucky to find her. Thank you for all your support for all the military men, women, and families out there!

i was at the concert with my sister ive been to many concerts Scotty McCreery &amp; co best country concert hands down OUTSTANDING loved every single second Scotty was born to Sing &amp; Perform God has blessed him with both A future legend in the making already a Superstar i cheered &amp; danced for the entire concert will be going to more of his concerts ps  loved the harlem shake so much fun

This is great. Finally a clean Harlem Shake shows that their band can have fun without getting dirty. Love how the crowd is involved, such a unique idea. :) Keep up the great work. 

I was at the Pittsburgh concert with my daughter, two granddaughters, and grandson. Amazing performance by Scotty i now realize he can sing anything. I wish i could attend tonights performance in Charleston, West Virginia. America got it right in 2010.

While serving in the USMarines on his second tour in Afghanistan, Lance Cpl. Andrew Carpeter came under enemy fire on Valentine's Day, 2011. He died 5 days later. His wife was carrying this first child, Landon, at the time of Andrew's death. 

Andrew was laid to rest in Polk Memorial Gardens just outside Nashville in Columbia TN. The town of Columbia later named a highway in honor of Andrew and his service.

Scotty heard Andrew's story and decided to honor his service by telling his story via his song "The Dash".
