Demetrius West and The Jesus Promoters (JP) have made a significant impact in the gospel music world, with a string of successful albums and accolades over the years. Their 2015 album ‘Jesus Promoter’, featuring the standout track “God of Everything” with Earnest Pugh, helped solidify their reputation. The album was lauded for its powerful choir arrangements, which were enhanced by West&#39;s 40-voice choir, Jesus Promoters.

In 2018, the group took a significant step forward by signing a record deal with Blacksmoke Music Worldwide, led by the renowned gospel icon Kerry Douglas. That same year, they released ‘Choir Ology: The Study of Choir Music’, which garnered impressive recognition, including Stellar Award and Steeple Award nominations, along with multiple Rhythm of Gospel Award nominations. The lead single, “Open the Floodgates,” was a major success, reaching #2 on Billboard’s Gospel Radio charts.

Their next album, ‘Do It Again’ (released June 19, 2020), continued their success, with the lead single “I’m Next” hitting #1 on Billboard Radio. Their third album, ‘Old Fellowship Hour’, dropped in November 2022, debuting at #18 on the Billboard Gospel Sales chart.

Their single, ‘Great God’, added acclamation to their moniker, reaching the top on Billboard Gospel Radio and multiple Stellar Award nominations.  With their unique sound, dynamic performances, and growing accolades, Demetrius West and JP remain a powerful force in contemporary gospel music.
