Named after the neighbourhood they grew up in, The Beaches comprises lead vocalist/bassist Jordan Miller, guitarist Kylie Miller, keyboardist/guitarist Leandra Earl, and drummer Eliza Enman-McDaniel.  On their latest album, Blame My Ex, the group melds gritty, groovy instrumentals with sharp, specific lyricism as they explore the triumphs and disappointments of mid-20s growing pains. Sometimes funny, sometimes caustic, but always authentic, Blame My Ex is a satisfying mashup of anthemic bops and tender, introspective tracks that touches on heartbreak, transition, and growth.

After their viral hit “Blame Brett,” the single spent 16 weeks at #1 at alternative radio in Canada, making it the biggest alternative hit of 2023. It also reached #16 at alternative radio in the US and is currently Top 40 on US Pop Radio (&amp; climbing). The track was also included on NPR and i-D&#39;s Best of 2023 list, and The Beaches was also a Billboard Canada Breakthrough Artist of the Year. 

The band made their US late night tv debut on Kimmel in February 2024 and also won the JUNO Award for Group of the Year and Rock Album of the Year.

They sold out their worldwide tour, including 2 nights at Toronto’s Massey Halls(5400 tickets), 2 nights at LA’s Troubadour (800 tickets), 2 nights at Williamsburg Music Hall (1200 tickets), London, UK Outernet (1300 tickets) &amp; are on their way to selling out Bud Stage this summer.

Whoever engineered this record deserves a Grammy. I have listened to The Beaches enough to recognize voices, and you can clearly distinguish Kylie&#39;s and Leandra&#39;s background vocals meshing with Jordan&#39;s. And Eliza&#39;s hi-hat and snare are perfectly recorded. This song is just a masterpiece of arrangement and production. It is, IMO, the best cut on the album, hands down.
