Primo the Alien is an Austin-based electro/alt-pop artist, producer, and multi-instrumentalist. A graduate of the esteemed Clive Davis Institute at New York University with a degree in Record Production, Primo serves nostalgic pop with a futuristic edge. Primo blends unexpected song structure and off-kilter instrumentation with infectious melodies and clever lyrics to create music that is accessible yet unconventional. On-stage overshares, sharp wit, and playful mischief are hallmarks of Primo the Alien’s otherworldly persona, creating an interactive live show that charms, disarms, and delights audiences. Primo’s fearlessness, unrelenting intensity, and eccentric bravado are balanced with levity, effervescence, and imagination, delivering a musical punch that is as undeniable as it is refreshing. Primo the Alien is a recipient of the Abe Olman Award for Excellence in Songwriting from the Songwriters Hall of Fame and was named Best Performer in Austin by Austin Monthly. A two-time American Idol Golden Ticket recipient, Primo’s most recent album, “Heart on the Run,” reached #1 on the Bandcamp pop charts and landed several Spotify editorial playlists. Primo is the face of Universal Audio’s audio interface, the Volt, and is featured in their international brand campaign. Hot off the heels of her Austin City Limits Music Festival debut, Primo is hard at work on a full length album releasing in 2024.

Haha, I have 498 tracks on my favorites list, and Primo is THE artist (or should I say THE alien) that&#39;s represented the most there, even more than The Beatles, Scooter, Vengaboys, Steppenwolf, Deep Purple, Guns N Roses etc. Why? Cuz her tracks are THAT awesome! They&#39;re combined with likeable beats and very satisfying vocals, with some neat feels to the tracks. If THIS doesn&#39;t get a retro old schooler think back to them good ol&#39; times, then nothing does, pretty much. And this track alone, is hella cool and addictive! Same with &quot;Secret&quot; and &quot;Showdown City&quot;. I just had to put  this one on youtube repeat, and it&#39;s now been almost 2 hrs.... Yep, gotta love your tracks, Primo! How have I just discovered this artist? She is amazing.

The best part of getting new Primo songs is listening to the amazing production and singing, and then the anticipation as you wait for Primo to hit that part of the song where she BELTS it out. Cathartic.
