Goth Babe is Griff Washburn enjoying himself. Originally from Tennessee, Griff currently lives and writes music on a 36ft off-grid sailboat named Lola. He is currently exploring the west coast of Mexico on Lola with his dog Sadie, after sailing down from California last December. When not on the road touring or on his boat, Griff and Sadie are off enjoying the outdoors in a truck camper. They explore the west coast of the United States fly fishing, surfing, snowboarding, and of course writing music along the way. 
His mission through this project has been to raise money for environmental non-profits like Protect Our Winters, Project Zero, or Conservations Lands Foundation. By attending Griff’s shows, listening to his music, or buying his merch, you’re helping Mother Earth and all its beautiful places. He hopes to also create a safe space for listeners to follow their aspirations and be genuine to themselves.

If you ever get on racing boat, you’ll realize that one can sail, not using power, and ride waves for a long long way. Of course, different kind of boat different kind of sailing.

It always look less intense on camera than it realy is.

I rode a few big waves  in a 37ft power boat. Speed before being carried was  19kts.  Reached 24 surfing the waves.

i love this so so much, it is nice to have a simple approach on life and enjoy the little things we tend to ignore

This band puts this amazing  happy to be where you are nostalgic feeling in my heart and i just absolutely love it.

All shots filmed on a 4 day road trip up the coast of California. I had never met Michael before, he just tagged along on a surf adventure as an absolute stranger and brought a camera along. Going on a extended camping trip with someone you've never met is like taking a friendship from 0 to 100. You see each other at your peaking best and at your absolute worst. Which resulted in such an incredible experience with such a genuine human. Thanks goes out to both Michael and Gabby for making this happen. Much love to two incredible humans!!!

Climbing was done at Smith Rock State Park with a self belay system.
Snowboarding was at Mt Hood Meadows in Mt Hood National Forest.
Surfing was on the Oregon Coast West of Portland, OR.

In April Arcteryx invited me to be a part of a film in Iceland that I would both score a soundtrack for and participate in. A week before the trip, my house burnt down, and with the fire went my passport. I couldn’t make the trip and gave up my hopes of being a part of the project. While in Iceland, the team called me and offered to fly my out to Iceland a month later with just the filmers once I had a passport. 

What an amazing experience it was, and how incredibly cool of this company to go out of their way to have me be a part of it.
