Rodina is the project of singer-songwriter Aoife Hearty and partner Joe Tatton, keys-player&amp;co-writer from The New Mastersounds snd leader of the Joe Tatton Trio. On Good Company, their first new album in 6 years, the two are joined by other great musicians including guitarist Lucas De Mulder, drummer Luke Flowers, The Filthy Six horns, and members of The Haggis Horns, among others.
Like their previous records there is a strong acid jazz slant to many of the songs, whether interpreted through a modern soul lens such as in opener “Simple Pleasures” or swaying more towards cosmic jazz-funk such as “We Go Out Of Our Way” or “Trust In This Life”, which was the first single lifted from the album.
Throw in some hippy Americana and even a tinge of Gospel and you end up with catchy songs that include both uptempo earworms like the super charged foot stomper “Good People” or the festival anthemic “Inspiration” and some beautiful chilled moments such as “All over the sky” and “Flowers”.
Recorded at their small countryside recording studio in the Peak District, this is the fourth vinyl produced at their studio and follows The New Mastersounds’ Old School and Joe Tatton Trio’s Galactico

I used to hear this load in my flat in forest gate in spring 02, thinking it was an old Diana Ross/supremes song from the 60 remixed.....loved it, brought it, played it to death, still love it.....should have got higher than no.18

Damn, i have been looking for this song for almost 20 years!!! They used to play it in a mtv commercial for their best friend contest back in 2002 or so. I accidently recorded that commercial on vhs and have been looking for the name of the sing ever since.

remember seeing her on nickelodeon back in the day. i bought the single and everything!

I think the wrong Rhianna became a worldwide star.
