For the past three and half years, the singer-songwriter from northwestern Washington, Leanna Crawford, has been writing, touring and singing with some of the biggest names in the Christian music industry. She’s gained more experience than many artists do in a decade, and while her music certainly displays the vocal and songwriting talent of a rising star in CCM, her grounded and honest lyrics make her feel more friend than star and more approachable than untouchable.

OK, so just heard this song on House FM, and they did that thing radio stations sometimes do before a song comes on - announcing the name and musician. I thought aloud to myself how strange that a Christian song is titled Funeral. And so when the song came on, I expected to hear a somber tune sung in a hymnal style. But girl, was I wrong? It was ukelele and so upbeat. And then the words broke me down because, like all of you who came here, you are probably overdue for holding funeral processions for the old person you&#39;ve been. So thank you, Leanna, for reminding us that we have been raised with Christ and become new. That our old selves don&#39;t define us. I purchased your song immediately on Amazon Music and will be sharing this YouTube link with my fellow sisters so we can keep finding ways to support one another. God bless you! After my wife of 56 yrs died unexpeditely after elective surgery I was feeling the same and the Lord found this song for me and reminded me who He is. Thx for writing it, beautifuuly done. I bet it has impacted many lives.  Be blessed

Had I been told that someday I would be grateful for my time of depression I wouldn&#39;t have believed it but I have come to the point where I can look back at the storm God allowed me to go through with gratitude not only for the healing but also for the storm because I can see that there was purpose. Because of experiencing the pain of thinking that God had rejected me I now have a greater understanding and appreciation for what Jesus did for me on the cross. Because I experienced the joy of Jesus walking on water and of hearing Him say &quot;I love you&quot; when He came to calm the storm in my life; I have a much greater love for Jesus, a story of His goodness that I can tell to encourage others who are going through the storm of depression, and a point I can look back at when the storms of life come and say with confidence &quot;God will take me safely through even this&quot;. God is good any pain He allows us to go through has a purpose because His plans are perfect.
