A live phenomenon, multi-instrumentalist, producer and singer-songwriter Elderbrook has an innate flair for creating emotive music that explores the sensitive and introspective themes of identity and mental wellbeing.

He exploded onto the scene with 2017 global smash ‘Cola’. The hit track, a collaboration with Camelphat, sold over seven million copies worldwide, earning him Grammy and Ivor Novello nods, plus a coveted No.1 on the US Dance Airplay Chart.

Since then Elderbrook has conceived two critically-acclaimed albums (2020’s Why Do We Shake in the Cold? and 2023’s Little Love). The former is an exploration of human connection, while the latter LP took inspiration from his shift into fatherhood. Add to that his singles and collaborations, and you have a formidable catalogue of timeless, danceable compositions. 

Since exploding onto the scene in 2017, Elderbrook has picked up over 1.5 billion global streams, tours with Jungle, Rüfüs Du Sol and Odesza, and collaborations with Diplo, Bob Moses, Black Coffee and Rudimental. 

He was one of the few UK acts who was able to tour extensively throughout the US in 2020, and his fanbase has grown exponentially from that period up to now. Landmark gigs include a headline show at the iconic Red Rocks in Colorado and his showstopping performance on the Sahara Stage at Coachella, plus numerous dates around the USA, Australia and Europe.

A singer, songwriter and classically trained multi-instrumentalist, Alexander Kotz, otherwise known as Elderbrook, developed his love for music at an early age. Building his musical foundations upon the influences of Jazz artists Sam Cooke and Billie Holiday, London-native Kotz would forge his unique vo- cals with an instrumental knowledge of guitar, bass, piano, and drums.


A student of the prestigious Bath Spa University, Kotz began experimenting with his sound, merging his acoustic and classical knowledge with film sam- ples, trip-hop elements and electronic-infused productions to hone a signature style all his own. Says Kotz of his creative process, “I started creating hip-hop beats and singing over them until it evolved into more of an electronic sound. I keep it minimal – when a song is broken down it leaves more room for intrica- cies which can be fun.”

This is, without a doubt, the most powerful music video advocating mental health in men I have ever watched.

it perfectly describes how men are conditioned to bottle up their feelings and deal with things like depression and addiction on their own.  When each man in the video stands up, the first thing he does is a strong-man pose, which to me is a metaphor for the image most men feel they have to project - strength, confidence, invulnerability - and then, slowly, they start to warm up to lowering their armor to dance, which is a metaphor for sharing their feelings with the other men. Once all of them are dancing, you start to see them become a little more confident and even a couple small smiles on their faces because they realize they&#39;re not alone, there is hope, and that things can get better. ~KyleEcoyote

My brother passed away 3-weeks ago, caused by his addiction to alcohol. I had introduced him to Elderbrook and Rudimental as a way to remain positive and to never give up. John was 55-years old and had everything to live for. I will miss him forever.
