Mick Jenkins

Mick Jenkins is a Chicago-based MC and poet known for his socially conscious lyrics and blend of jazz, soul, and hip-hop. Born in Huntsville, Alabama in 1991 and raised on Chicago's South Side, he first gained attention with early 2010s mixtapes before breaking through with 2014's The Water[s]. He has collaborated with artists like Noname, Kaytranada, and BadBadNotGood, and released albums including The Healing Component (2016), Pieces of a Man (2018), and The Patience (2023).
